Groupes de soutien pour maladies et conditions - Central East

Les groupes de soutien sont organisés et gérés par leurs membres respectifs. Les membres sont habituellement des volontaires qui ont vécu une expérience personnelle liée au sujet du groupe.

Les membres du groupe s’entraident, typiquement d’une manière non-professionnelle. Cette aide peut inclure écouter, partager les expériences personnelles, accepter les expériences d’autrui, fournir une compréhension et établir des réseaux sociaux.

Quelques groupes de soutien sont accessibles aux personnes qui veulent assister aux réunions annoncées tandis que l’accès à d’autres groupes est assujetti à des critères d’admission et à des frais d’adhésion.
